Die:Cutaway tags:spring die
Clear embossing powder from Wow
Watercolors: Kuretake gansai

Have a nice day!

Cards with a new kit

I bought a kit from a stamp company in Germany called Create a smile. I got the kit a couple of days ago and started playing with it yesterday and I can't stop. I just love the kit! I have made two cards so far and are making a third ( I just have to let things dry before I can move on with it).

Here are the two very different cards I made with it so far.

On the card above I used a watercolor paper and dipped it in distress inks that I had pressed on my teflon surface and sprayed with water. I dried it between every time I pressed the paper down on the distress colors. The seacreatures I colored with copics. My mum loves to eat seafood and in Sweden we don't celebrate Mother's Day until next weekend.

On this card I used the die that comes in the kit and I used Ice Stickles to make the little dots on the icecream part.

A coral butterfly

Over at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog this weeks challenge is to use the distress ink abondoned coral. Since I don't have it yet I used a ink from Wplus9 called Flamingo ( closest I could get).

I used a watercolor paper from Tim Holtz and I first put a layer of Tumbled glass on it and then I put Broken China on it through a stencil. I then splashed water and ink on top of the paper.
The butterfly is a die called Paulina from SSS. I used a different stencil on top of the butterfly and put the Flamingo ink on it.
To make the butterfly pop more I put a piece of vellum underneath the butterfly. The Grattis is a die from Roxstamps.

On the cutting edge

I found another new challenge blog called The Cutting Edge. The Cutting Edge Challenge Blog is all about die cutting and since I have a couple of dies I thought this challenge was perfect for me. Their Challenge # 5 is soon closing and I am glad I finished the card on time.

I am also entering this card in Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog and the theme this week is Anything goes.

Supplies I used:

Hello die from Simon Says Stamp
The flowers are stamps and dies from WPlus9
Varous inks from Simon Says Stamp and Hero Arts
The stamp sweet girl is from Lawn Fawn
I also used Wink of Stella glitter pen eventhough it doesn't show on the photo.

HEY!

I have made another card today, I guess it will be the last card I make in April. Here in Sweden we celebrate this day by having a big bonfire. We have one really close to us and the whole village turns up and there will be people singing and maybe selling hotdogs/candy. The two last years I have been to sick ( I had major heart problems) to go up there but tonight I will:)

This card fits with Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge that starts today with the theme "Anything goes". You should use Lawn Fawn stamps/dies/paper if you have any. I was inpired by Nichol Magouirk that made this watercolour background by using distress ink. I coloured the dinosaur with distress ink ( iced spruce and a blue colour).

I have used the HEY ! stamp from SSS May card kit, and the dinosaur and the speech bubble comes from Lawn Fawn. I used four different blue distress inks.  I hope you like it!

Less is more: week 169

I saw this sketch over at Less is More and in my head I came up with lots of ideas. At the same time I got a mail from Penny Black with a tutorial on how to make a card with a certain technique, and it looked so fun that I wanted to try it out, so I combined the both.

I used a leaf stamp from the stamp set called Petal Pieces from SSS and I used four distress inks (mowed lawn, aged mahogany, peeled paint and antique linen). The branch and the bird is two different dies, the leaf from Heroo Arts and the bird from Marianne Design.

Then I made another similiar card to my husband's grandmother who is 93 and lives in England. The picture got a bit crocked ( my fault).

Card I made at a crop

I went to a crop last weekend in Linköping ( my hometown) with my friend Annelie. I managed to make two layouts and three cards. I mostly went around chatting with people, buying stuff in the store and having a lovely time! First big crop I have been to in a year or more. I haven't had the strength before.

Thought I would show you one of the cards I made. Since I am in love with my new ballonn dies from Simon Says Stamp I made another card with them. I used things ( paper and the owl) from the goodiebag we got when we came to the crop.

.
Then I changed the card a bit when I came home. I put three roses under the owl so it didn't look like he was flying. What do you think better or worse?

Diecut inlay

Here is the second card I made for CAS(E) this Sketch #70. The sketch look like this:

And here is my card. I took a piece of watercolour paper that I dipped in some distresscolours that I had put on my worksheet. I then dried the paper and since I didn't like how it turned out I sponged some colours on the paper this time and then sprayed it with water. After it was drie I pressed a wet stencil on top of it but it didn't turn out as clearly as I wanted it so I diecut a balloon from the paper. And in the balloon I diecut the word happy and made a diecut inlay. The hearts is also diecuts from the same paper. All the dies comes from SSS.

Colouring on vellum

Now I am jumping to Day 7 in my cardclass. There is still techniques I want to try out that they taught us day 5 and 6, so I have to go back another day and make some cards with those techniques.
Day 7 is called creative colouring, and Kristina Werner taught us how to colour with our copics on vellum. I think she taught us this in another class I took too. Anyhow here is my card and I used dies from Simon Says Stamp and following copic colours: B 02, BG 09, BG 05, RV 04 and RV 06.
Unlike the other card I showed you earlier today,  I am really happy with how this one turned out.

Distressed butterflies

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog has a challenge now that involves distressing. And since I love distressing I made several distressed butterflies and made two diecut inlay cards with them but the first card you see is just a diecut card. It was so fun so the third card is just a diecut inlay card without being distressed. I used the cardstock that I got in Simon Says Stamp March cardkit.

A happy card

This week's challenge at Simon Says Wednesday challenge is Wedding or anniversary. I made this card along with some other cards that I gave to my American "mum and dad" when they where here to visit us this last weekend.

I used a stencil and a die and a stamp from SSS.

Hello

En Liten Butik has a sketch week this week and todays sketch look like this:

It reminded me of the sketch I just made a LO of with all the banners. So I thought why not make a card with the scraps that I got when I made the LO ( they where still on my table too). Today I also got a package from USA and SSS and I got this hello die, and I thought it would be perfect on this card.

I like all the pretty colorful colors on this card, a happy card that I think I will send to someone who needs a bit cheering up.

Today the theme is Blue Christmas over at En Liten Butik. I used pattern paper from K-design when I did this card. Then I used three trees from Marianne Design as decoration. Sorry for the bad photos that I took in the evening.

The stamp comes from K-design and I made a pocket for money or gift vouchers.

Challenge number 12 at En Liten Butik is snow. I have used flower soft for the snow on the ground and the tree and stickles for the snowflakes. Th santa and the reindeers is a die that I bought from England and the tree is a die from Marianne design.
