A mixed media canvas

I was so inspired when I saw Anna-Karin's tutorial on her mixed media board over at Simon Says Stamp that I started making one yesterday. I didn't have any cling film at home but lucky for me a box full of goodies from Simon Says just arrived and I used the plastic pillows that where in the box. I had bought some Distress paints but no green colors so I used Distress crackle paint instead and that worked fine in combination with an orange and blue Distress paint. I also used the crackle paint on my trees.  I used golden Inca Gold on my branches and leaves in the bottom. The bird and the trees are dies from Marianne Design. I used a stamp from Tim Holtz that also came in the parcel but it didn't turn up that good so I had to use my Dymo machine and that didn't really work either 100 %, oh well. In the end I am still pleased with my canvas board anyway.

And since the theme this week over at Simon Says Stamp challenge blog is woodland I am entering this canvas board in the challenge.

 I thought this quote was quite fitting for me since my fears and dreams are at the same place, and that is the hospital when I finally get the call that they have a new heart for me.
