I know I haven't done a card for week 3, day 1 yet but I saw the video tutorial that Jennifer did about embossing die cuts and I got so inspired that I had to emboss a little. Since I don't have the same die cuts that Jennifer used, my card look totally different but I have used the same technique. So my butterfly diecuts on this card is heat embossed with different embossing powders. For the big butterfly I first used two different distress inks and then I embossed it with a clear hologram embossing powder and for the little butterfly I used gold powder. Oh we had a new color combo that we had to use and that is brown, dark brown, purple, dark purple and pool.
Here you can see that the purple butterfly shines from the clear hologram embossing powder.
At
CAS ology # 54 you should use gold on your card which I have so I am entering this card in their challenge.
Supplies I used:
Distress inks: Shaded liliac and Dusty concord
Hero Arts ink: Cup O'Joe
Simon Says Stamp die cuts: Leanna Butterfly, Paulina Butterfly and the happy die cut plus stamp set
Wow Embossing powders: Metallic Gold and Clear Hologram
